The blue of the plastic recalls waves of ocean, drowning, yet not disappearing, submerged yet shaping the landscape. The dresses, detached, superficial, distant, and disconnected from the essence of the women in the panel, represent the transmutation of women’s contributions to history and their marginalization from recorded history.
