"I blame William Alexander for my attraction to the arts. His comment, "Without the dark there is no light" resonates without end in my mind. His weekly program where he painted nearly everything imaginable sparked a vision that I could do something almost as good. Years ago, I was a woodworker. I won second prize at the Spring Arts Festival. So I had a feel for art and design and this feeling managed to work its way into my paintings. While I started in oils, it became clear that acrylics were my natural medium. In short, I love to create."
