Disposable plastic take-out food packaging mounts in landfills. Although much of it is recyclable, little of it is actually recycled as there is no nationwide infrastructure to handle the huge amount of recyclable materials. My work seeks to give a permanent place for items that are generally discarded and draw attention to the inherent waste in temporary food storage plastics.
