e·piph·a·ny a moment of sudden revelation or insight. At first, there is a disconnect between the patient and the symptoms. A feeling of being haunted by elements outside self, a vague general malaise. A manifestation of body, psyche and soma that only people can obtain. Then, a revelation that the haunting is internal, and relief settles in after the fear and shame subside. Once diagnosed, treatments are subscribed and a light at the end of the tunnel appears. There is hope.
